One of the things that I love about 3M is the culture of creativity. Recently I had the opportunity to check out the 3M: Made by YOU event. It was amazing. The room was set up with dozens of booths that showcased tech-influenced DIY projects by our very own 3Mers. There were three categories: Made for FUN, Made for 3M and Made WITH 3M. Let me tell you, no matter the category, every project was impressive. Some of my favorites were the LED Dance Suits and the 3D printing displays. One employee even built a kayak from strips of wood!

I got my chance to put on my creative hat and be a maker as well. There was a table piled high with 3M products, like films and adhesives, as well as crafting material for people to make what their heart desired. I knew I wanted to incorporate 3M films (they are so cool) and got to work. A few rods of wood and pieces of string later, I crafted a mobile! I love that when it catches the light, you see the films shift colors. Such a fun experience.
